About the Artist
Abele Russo, a resident of New York and educated at The School of Industrial Arts, worked in the advertising business for more than twenty years. His illustrations were featured in numerous journals and various magazine spreads. Abele headed an advertising department and worked in a family business before making the transition to full-time artist and painter. In his studio at home, Abele creates detailed scenes and images on pieces of furniture and paints with oils on canvas. He derives most of his passion and inspiration from the impressionist movement and his major influences are Pissarro, Monet, Van Gogh and Picasso. Able has experimented with expressionism as well and quips, "I like to create impressionist pieces with a modern flair."
